Pilot Ranks

Cadet

This is the first rank a person receives when the enter the VA. All pilots with 0-25 hours of flying time with Boeing Virtual will have this rank and will be able to fly The Boeing 717 and The Boeing 737 (-700 and -800)

First Officer

This is the third rank a pilot will receive once they have flown for more than 50 hours for the VA. All pilots with 50-100 hours of flying time with Boeing Virtual will have this rank and will be able to fly The Boeing 757 and The Boeing 767 and all of the previous aircraft.

Captain

This is the fifth rank a pilot will receive once they have flown for more than 200 hours for the VA. All pilots with 200-400 hours of flying time with Boeing Virtual will have this rank and will be able to fly The Boeing 777 (-200ER, -200LR, 300ER, and -200F) and all of the previous aircraft.

Line Training Captain

This is the seventh rank a pilot will receive once they have flown for more than 700 hours for the VA. All pilots with 700-1000 hours of flying time with Boeing Virtual will have this rank and will be able to fly C-17 Globemaster III and all of the previous aircraft.

Junior First Officer

This is the second rank a pilot will receive once they have flown for more than 25 hours for the VA. All pilots with 25-50 hours of flying time with Boeing Virtual will have this rank and will be able to fly The Boeing 737 (-900) and all of the previous aircraft.

Senior First Officer

This is the fourth rank a pilot will receive once they have flown for more than 100 hours for the VA. All pilots with 100-200 hours of flying time with Boeing Virtual will have this rank and will be able to fly The Boeing 787 (-8, -9, and -10) and all of the previous aircraft.

Senior Captain

This is the sixth rank a pilot will receive once they have flown for more than 400 hours for the VA. All pilots with 400-700 hours of flying time with Boeing Virtual will have this rank and will be able to fly The Boeing 747 (-200, -400, -8, SCA, SOFIA and the VC-25 and all of the previous aircraft.

Commander

This is the eight and last rank a pilot will receive once they have flown for more than 1000 hours for the VA. All pilots with 1000+ hours of flying time with Boeing Virtual will have this rank and will be able to fly all of the previous aircraft and will have a special flight time multiplier.

Captain of the Fleet

This rank is an honorary rank and cannot be achieved, only rewarded. This award can be given to a person at the discretion of the CEO. In addition to that, staff members can nominate a person to receive this rank and after an internal vote is done, a decision will be made by the CEO.
